July had been a blessed month.

meet up after another meet up with friends and family. thus explains having me disappeared in blogosphere for the entire month. my sincere apologies :)

i practically met all my high school friends in that one month! in different occasions. i'm amazed! this kind of opportunity only happens once in a blue moon, due to my flying career. well, i had my blue moon the whole of July. beams.

God has been rather kind to me, and will always do. He filled up and colors my life with the love of joyful and amazing people around me. I thank you God everyday for that.

August will be another hectic month. it's time to earn extra income before school reopens. i'll try to update as much as possible. fingers crossed. be patient with me here okay?

and oh, last thing before i hit the bed. my results are coming out on the 23rd Aug. so please please pray for me! *shivers*

heyo. i'm back from London. and again, i'm in love with London. beams. the weather was beautiful. did a little bit of cheap shopping, catching up with cousin and friends, discovering new parts of the town and a lot of eating. i may gain a couple of pounds from the 3 days stay in London. oh dear..

short trip to KL over the weekend was fun. haven't do this crazy drinking and traveling for sometime now. slept 3 hours after my AbuDhabi-Singapore overnight flight and flew to KL. touched down around 10pm on Saturday, did my make up in the car, went straight to Zouk. partied with Sam and friends, till my brother came along, and the rest of the night went wild with a lot of drinking. madness. we started off with jugs of long island, to bottles of champagne, to Malibu shots and Jägerbomb (and whiskey - i think) didn't notice much cause i was a tad too busy escaping from my brother. i concluded, a night in the club with my brother = bad hangover the next morning. being the sister, it seemed like i'm obligated to drink TWO of each shot. but since we're celebrating his birthday, ah.. why not :) and oh, supper was so comforting after hours of booze with empty stomach!

finally crawled to bed at 6.30am, barely slept till 11+am. had Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh at Pavilion for lunch and met up with AiKhim (after months!) for small shopping and dessert.

had high-end steamboat for dinner with siblings along Jalan Imbi and that one meal killed my spending power for the rest of the month! FML we called it a night after dinner. flew back to Singapore on Monday afternoon after having my Nasi Kandar craving satisfied. haha! flew off to Bombay the night itself.

days spent without having exam in mind is so so good.

enjoyed myself in Sydney, the load was extremely light. on Saturday I had gorgeous food with Jesslyn, finally met my high-school mate in Singapore, played mahjong with friends till 2+ in the morning. i learnt couple of chinese characters, and a lot about mahjong rules. couldn't put myself to sleep until 5am cause I was disheartened by the tragic news regarding a close friend and family.

woke up at 9am on Sunday morning (today) to attend church service. Pastor Phil Pringle preached and I really felt blessed by his message, But God. Knowing that God is able to flip any chaos or problem around easily and anytime for He is our Father, the Creator of the Heaven and the Earth. as we grab hold of the But God factor, have faith, He will do the rest. Howard prayed for grace and comfort on my friend and his family, and tears just couldn't stop flowing. when it's difficult for a friend to accept the loss, it is even more painful for a wife, a young daughter, a mother, a father, a grandmother, a brother, a sister and family to feel the loss. May our God, Jehovah Jireh will provide and be with him and his family throughout this difficult period of time. Amen.

After church service we celebrated YuHong's birthday and lunched at this (i can't remember the name) ala-carte, hotpot buffet and porridge buffet restaurant at Marina Square. most of us went for the porridge buffet cause it was only SGD6.90+. the spread was quite good, looking at the price we paid for. Teo Chew style porridge. i like :))

free bubble tea makes everyone a happy person! me included :)

talking crap with all of them really lightens up my mood. hanged out a little at The Cathay to kill some time before movie with Jesslyn. finally satisfied my craving for custard buns. slurps. the movie Paul was entertaining, funny. next on the list, tennis lesson and self-learn photography techniques.

exam next week. and i've been spending my last few days, doing everything else but study. this is the reason why i failed 3 out of 5 subjects for my prelims. my brain engine couldn't seem to be warmed up, after hibernating for 2years+. did i tell you how much i hate economics yet? if not, ECONOMICS IS A TORTURE!! my econs class ended at 10.30pm today! reached home after 12midnight. i could have camped in school ==,

looking forward for exam to be over. i have a long list in mind now; tennis lesson, diving trips, holidays, HOME and etc.

putting (almost nil) updates on studies aside, i received a parcel last week! so out of the blue. the "courier service" company called while i was in class, drawing these instead of doing maths.

p/s: i don't normally draw sunflower. i'm better at drawing daisies :)

i somehow had this idea of drawing a sunflower.. but anyway..

i received these pretty flowers when i got home. stunned.

it really made me smile widely yet got my heart skipped a beat at the same time.

flowers from a good-natured guy-friend scare the living daylights out of a commitment-phobic girl like me. no doubt it's really a sweet gesture, nothing personal (towards the sender). i think it's just me being me.

i hope these flowers don't mean anything, now or later.

putting that aside, i went for my yellow fever vaccination today. i can't lift my left arm now, or carry anything heavy. i'm such a baby. HAHA

apparently it'll give me fever, sometime soon. even if this vaccination doesn't, the colorful chocolates that i've been popping into my mouth will. half a packet of 160g m&m's mini gone in two days. these round yummy little colorful thing not only delaying the healing of my ulcer, they're making me fat too.

2 more weeks to my exam and i'm spending time cam whoring and staring blankly at my Mac's screen, waiting for StarHub to re-activate my line. yes, i owed them a lot of money (again). so no BBM or WhatsApp for the whole day today. i survived on my iPhone.

okay, i'd better shower and continue with Maths. either the vaccination or the studying is making me stone the whole day. looking forward for my facial appointment tomorrow.

there are few simple things in life that we could actually do to make a person's day. for an instance, a sincere compliment!

First Class arrives in Economy, from my passenger.

secondly, commendation on a job well done. getting positive remark for my work by a tip-top supervisor adds on to the joy, apart from having less than half the load on a HongKong run. both are RARE, with possibility close to ZERO! lady luck must have been with me today! even my trip to church in Jurong West went so smoothly. buses and train came very on time and i had a free ride home! God must have wanted me to attend the Bible Study today, and i'm glad i did :) not only that, i finally get my UOL Econs revision class sorted out, right on the dates that i'm around. thank God for the unsuccessful change of flight. hehee

i had quite an enjoyable supper in HongKong last night. mango dessert tapao-ed from one of the famous dessert branch in airport.

Good effort - well done. wow.

so sweet of the examiner to give encouraging words despite the stress i gave him/her while marking my script. but after reading it again, i started wondering whether he/she is really encouraging or just plain mocking. firstly "good effort". secondly, there's only 11 chapters in this subject, let's exclude chapter1 cause it's just the introduction and chapter 10 has got only handful of words, we're now left with 9. despite listing down the chapters i need to work on, he/she literally is asking me to reevaluate my understandings for the entire subject. HAHA! i love how the examiner lay his/her underlying message in this note. so intriguing. i like! LOL well nevertheless, i managed to scrape more marks for this paper 2x>100 :)

it's starting to feel like a chore now, having to attend UOL revision as early as 8.30am couple days in a week! and to make things worse, it's a 6 and half hours lecture with tea breaks and an hour lunch break in between. it takes about an hour half to two hours to arrive school with public transport, alternatively i can choose to pay S$27 (morning peak hours) to school and S$17 (non-peak hours) back home with only 30mins traveling time. well obviously couple days back i've chosen the expensive traveling method cause i can't be waking up at 5 something in the morning for revision class. i'll probably be "fishing" in class.

owh before i forget, i had a WTF moment in school today. i was pissed to the MAX yet i can't show it to her and in fact gave her a big THANK YOU and a smile for an exchange of her good/kind intention that is soooooo not necessary =.= let me bore you with my venting xD second half of my class today was switched to a different LT, directly after the lunch break. the lecturer told us before the break that most likely we're staying in the same LT, so i left my notes on the table and Burberry pencil case underneath the table in the LT and went out to buy lunch (milk, don't ask why). when i returned, my belongings wasn't there anymore! not even my plastic water bottle! i thought i went in the wrong class, so i walked out to check the board. apparently we're changing LT, so i thought maybe the staffs cleared the LT and shifted our belongings. i walked to the LT at the other end of the school. i went in, and none of my stuff was there. i got panicked a little, and asked the staff outside the class if anyone shifted our belonging. she just stared at me, looking even more lost than i do. this is when i started worrying mad. my whole year of written notes are in the book! i walked back all the way to the previous class, sat on my seat for a good 5mins thinking this couldn't be happening! how can my stuff go missing?! i decided to report it at the student help desk, maybe some bimbo mistaken it. while walking out, a student (who sat behind me earlier) tapped on my shoulder and said, "hey, here's your books and pencil case. i kept it for you cause i'm afraid it may go missing". i tell you, i was at the edge of YELLING at her! how can you just get hold of my items without telling me, or at least leaving a note behind?!! you made me walked the entire school with a lost expression in the face, worried sick, looking aimlessly for my things! and which student will actually steal anonymous books/notes. RAWR! thank God i managed to hold back my words, cause i know it's out of her good will in doing so. instead of roaring at her, i gave her a very genuine big smile and thanked her. inside me i was like wtf wtf wtf and wtf! hunger aided the outrage too. LOL i really felt the need to roar at someone, or at least whine out loud so i called Sam and blurted my heart out. HAHA! i went back to normal after that. that was my rare WTF moment.

anyway tomorrow is going to be another long day for me. Day2 of my POA revision class, leaving mid-lesson, rest a little and off to work. HongKong nightstop tomorrow T.T i'd better be sleeping by 9.30pm hehee. i'm feeling rather guilty for spending time unwisely since i went back to Penang couple days ago. no mugging done, at all. oh dear, i'm going to score 2x=34 again in my real paper *stress* but at least.. i had quite an enjoyable time with family. everyone was back for Ching Ming.

Tortelloni Carne all'Arrabbiata

okay peeps, today i'm teaching you guys how to make your own tortelloni all'arrabbiata, say it with Italian slang!

main point to note: no kitchen required! all you need is a travel cook pot. good taste buds would be bonus xD

preparation time: 3-5 mins, cooking time: 8-10mins serve: 1 person

here are the ingredients:

250g of tortelloni of own preference stuffings

75g of arrabbiata sauce

2 mini wiener-wurstchen (german sausage)

*all from nearby supermarket Rewe, opposite The Westin, Munich

salt and pepper to taste

step one, boil the pasta for couple minutes until they float up in the boiling water. drain the pasta and immediately after leave it under cold running water.

cooked tortelloni alla carne (roasted beef)

step two, heat up frying pan or in my case, my travel cook pot. let the sauce sizzle in the pan,

then throw in slices of sausages into the pan.

fry the sausages for short while, then put in the pasta. mix the pasta into the sauce until they're well blended.

lastly, serve pasta on a pretty looking plate.

prelim is over! wheee~ i'm officially on a break for this whole week. away from aircrafts and books! ah.. life is good!

since my next duty is on Sunday, i have about 5 days before i get back to reality. initially contemplated to fly back to KL, but change of plan cause Elaine and Leslie are off to Beijing for a holiday and i thought to myself i could use a week break for me, myself and I. shopping, movies, bills to pay, facial appointments to get back on, a room that looks like it has been swept by Katrina to reorganize and etc. after making a rough plan for this whole week, i realized 5 days aren't sufficient to slot in everything! oh dear. i think i need 36 hours a day.

i've summarized my schedule for my 5 days break

Day1 (yesterday):

-priority, shopping. location Bugis St and Somerset. total items bought, 10. total damage, you wouldn't want to know. planning to return 2 items from Zara and get the green skinny jeans instead :))

-movie and dinner with cell groupies. watched 127hours with Jesslyn, Boss and ShunLong at Orchard Cineleisure. omg, the climax part is more horror than a horror show itself. breaking bone, cutting tendons and veins.. eiw goosebumps. thank God i covered my eyes the entire segment. else, i can never eat chicken wing the same way like i do before.

Day2 (today):

-major clean-up and laundry day. i have 3 PILES of clothes to be thrown into the washing machine. and my clothes are overflowing out of the closet. so so so messy. couldn't stand it. looks like it's time to give some away to the Sri Lankan.

-dinner and movie with Jesslyn. the King's Speech for today. let's see whether it's that good to win Oscar award.

Day3:

-lunching with Merlyn before she goes back to Philippines end of the month.

-eyebrow threading and etc

-attending CY's law competition with Mel at Moot's court. it's going to be so exciting. real court scene with witness and etc. feels like i'm in the movie series Law and Order. HAHA

Day4:

-meeting Shawn for lunch, movie and dessert (according to him). supposed to go for photography outing with classmate, i miss my DSLR already but since no news till now, guess we'll just shift it to some other day.

-cell group meeting at 8pm. that, i honestly am looking forward to!

Day5:

-probably have lunch with batchmate, Emily but yet to confirm.

-church service at the furthest end of the world, Jurong West.

-hmm dinner. since i've got to reschedule the crab night with OngSookHua, uncle Corn and gang, i'd better do it on this day. before they start complaining i'm always "diving" (MIA). lols

timetable is so packed that i couldn't find a time slot for my facial, or to visit the pretty Dr Tan for chemical peeling, or dinner with Jeffrey or to hand-make a graduation card or to pay my bills! shucks. i forgotten bout that. need to readjust my schedule. i'll have to forego my photography outing too. sianss. i'm always busier on my off days than working. anyway, my lunch break is over, time to go back to my laundry and be a good ol' maid to myself :(

Hope this is not too late to wish everyone a Happy New Year. haha! lost the momentum of blogging after being MIA for awhile now. if you're urging to know my current location, i'm back in Crowne Plaza Zurich, Switzerland. yes again.

So how was your New Year? i wouldn't say mine was mind blowing or happening at all. the only thing i did was sleep and sleep and sleep throughout new year. i literally hibernated in Singapore for the entire week! why? cause i fell sick again, got the virus from London by only a sip of frappe from my cousin. it hit me pretty badly that my fever went all the way to 39.5degree. i felt so helpless and miserable and pathetic taking care of myself with my barely-left energy that i quietly cried to myself after hearing from my Dad on the phone. HAHA. you didn't hear that from me.

today is the 10th of January already, and i'm still blowing my nose every now and then and coughing out loud with phlegm twirling deep down in the throat. best part is, i've finished all my medications since few days back. fyi, i don't normally take medicine. the most, 2 panadols and i'll be virus-free. seems like UK's virus are over powering Asians like me. hehee. speaking of UK, i had quite a satisfying time with friends and family in London last December.

Christmas has been relatively stunning so far, for me. i had an awesome time with God on Sunday and with the cell group member after service. we joked, we crap, we eat, we shared gift and we simply enjoy each others company aye. i'm currently in London, with my first SQ318. a flight that's known for its madness scope of work. you literally walk and serve 14 hours all the way from Singapore to London! but i was lucky enough, the load was amazingly light! a quarter full. there were sooo many empty ROWS vacant! lucky me, and lucky passengers. i prayed the night before for zest and energy, a smooth sailing flight, and God is always generous and graceful for those who ask. instead of having aches everywhere after shiong flight, i was so energetic and awake. Praise the Lord! :)

met up with SL and Hau after flight. they brought dinner over for me, and we just makan and chill till late. i received my birthday cum Christmas present from SL! and i love it!!

my plans are fuzzy and not yet finalized but i'm just excited. 5 days may seem a lot but i doubt i'll get much rest then. singapore - penang - KL - penang - singapore - amsterdam (work) within that period. the thought of it is already tiring me out.

i'm back in Zurich, again. one week after another. aiyooo. good thing is, there's free internet at reasonable uploading speed and macarons. bad thing, my roster is messed up and i'm now trying my best to straighten it so that i can make it back to Penang and KL for my grandma's birthday celebration and to pay respect to my late Mum. 5th year anniversary. looking back at the 5 years, string of events come and go just like that. time flies. i haven't attended much family reunion ever since i started flying. like they said, it comes with my job package. i shan't whine much here, before it eats me up emotionally. yes, call me an avoider. smiles.

isn't it the most brilliant gift for myself? apart from the Chanel items, which one of the most expensive one i decided to sell it off in order to build up my Nikon D7000 fund. yes, i'm more of a gadget-y girl than a branded bag girl (altho i have quite a number in my closet) hee.. anyway the best part is, it's half the price of the D7000 and has got a lighter and smaller body! i feel excited already!! could be over-excessive sugar intake from my coke light lemon and Sprungli's chocolate mousse cake. LOL however, everyone would be able to tell that i'm one amateur photographer from my camera. but what the heck, it's the skill and creativity that counts? :)) feeling high over the DSLR. have been wanting for one for the longest time! *humming wooh wooh, for the longest time~ breathe breathe.

my past off days have been quite a satisfying one. attended class as per normal on Monday and Tuesday. on Wednesday, i went for the German Scheme Language interview, which i flunk. not advisable as well cause it will commence during my pre-lims and final year exam. and roster will suck anyway so i had to let it go. made my decision (sort of) on the aviator. and at night, watched Rapunzel with Jesslyn in town, finally. the story line is so fairy-tale romantic and touching that it made me feel like going back to Disneyland again. not cool, i know. haha! and on Thursday, did a Jakarta turn and met up with the old E447 under Mr Lau's colonial rule. and had a small birthday celebration for him.

that was Thursday. and on Friday, i did my mani pedi, attended Finance lesson and left halfway for work. and here i am, back again in Zurich. i am surprised that the weather improved from the last few days. from -7 to 7degree and the sun was out the entire day! town area was pretty congested with people doing Christmas shopping. sweet. all the shops will be closed tomorrow, including the convenient stores. looks like i'll be rotting in the room tomorrow, after breakfast. i might be out at Sprungli doing my reading and people watch.

the breakfast buffet at the hotel is awesome, as usual. love the croissant with nutella. and smoked salmon. slurps. that was the one meal i had today, apart from the fries in the evening. the weather was so cold that we craved for McD fries just to heat up the body. hehee. supposed to heat up my leftover Thai food i brought from Singapore for dinner now, but i'm not too sure it's still edible. not hungry anyway.. so guess i'm just going to skip dinner. i seriously need to shed some weight. hmm..

it's the holiday season again! i can't wait to be back in KL mid December and let's pray that "Operasi MacBook Bangla" is successful tomorrow. God is good, all the time! :))

yes, I finally visited the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science, a school which is under the University of London. for those who have not known yet by now, i'm currently doing an external degree by UOL in BSc Accounting and Finance (LSE) in SIM Global Edu, Singapore.

before i start my lengthy thoughts, i now somehow am grateful to my Dad for never failing in wanting us to physically sight those beautiful mansions and awesomely looking BMW and Mercedes cause he believes that when someone catch the sight or feel the things that he/she love, the person will be self-driven, motivated and start carving ideas and ways in achieving it and then eventually getting it. realizing dreams! thus, explains the reason why i was very determined to visit LSE during my London trip.

being in the school compound itself has already given me motivation and an ultimate goal in what i want to achieve for myself. with that, i will have to push myself to my limits cause nothing comes easily. and when i say push myself to my limits, i really mean that! the minimum entry requirement for MSc is Upper Second Class. not only that, getting a MSc in LSE doesn't come cheap either. after doing small research and calculations, i will need to allocate about S$1.7k from next month onwards to fund my own studies. that is equivalent to one LV for every two months! hmph..

i get goosebumps each time i give another thought on it. all i could say is determination, determination, and determination. for the path i chose and living the life i love. i could only wish myself all the best.

let's pray that I'll graduate with minimum 2:1 and make my way here as a full time student, no more an external student.

hiyakss! i'm back. miss me much? :))

i landed into Singapore yesterday evening, from a 5 days Melbourne fight pattern. not the regular 3 days. additional 2 days in Melbourne due to some issues regarding A380 with Aussie's aviation regulations. was stranded there, not knowing what are the company's plan in flying us back. i think i was the most ecstatic one to be stranded there. cause i'll have more time to spend with hometown friends! and try more yummilicious and famous food Melbourne has to offer.

first day upon landing. had Ten Ren's bubble milk tea with Karen, Bernice met us shortly after and we had lunch at Old Town Kopitiam.

the next day took a train to Glenferrie, to had lunch with Bernice at KimChi Lunchbox. then came back to town to meet Eugene, Clariss and Karen. we lepak-ed at Lindt Chocolat Cafe for a drink couple of hours while waiting for Janice. later, off to Red Silks for some Malaysian food. wouldn't mind going there again for the Belacan Fried Rice the next time around :)

left Melbourne with few kilo's heavier. not good. and i miss hanging out with the girls already. can't wait to be back in Melbourne. hmph. anyway i'll be around until my next flight, London on Wednesday night. initially tempted to fly back to Penang for few days but my plan was crushed by Elaine and Dad. Elaine suggested that i study on my offs and Dad said i'm wasting money on flight ticket. which is true.. so i decided to stay and rot in my room.

it has been raining in Singapore since morning. drizzles, heavy downpour, strong wind. just reached home not long after church service and lunch with cellgroup member at Wonton Story in Bugis Junction. did some small grocery shopping in Cold Storage too. stocking up on canned tuna and cheese slices for my sandwich diet after this. haha! taking a nap now, will be seeing SookHua SingCheer and Jagung for dinner. byee.

HAHA. maybe i should just migrate to NZ and babysit for a living. sounds like a good idea :))

visited the GP today, got a referral letter and booked an appointment for ultrasound at KKH tomorrow morning (no, i'm NOT pregnant). finally settled the issue with my drowned Blackberry and got a new device for an exchange, and transferred the contract holder to my name. not to mention i was there for an hour and half. and my Blackberry is now totally naked! with zero contacts and apps. FML. returned few Zara items in Ion Orchard and did threading and waxing as well. attended 3 hours lesson. contemplating to do my laundry now, but it's almost 2am already. i'll need to pull myself off the bed at 9am tomorrow for my appt and not forgetting my flight to Auckland reporting at 1915. hope i'll have the time to snooze before my overnight flight. i'm going off to bed. nights love! :)

i was actually all hyped up the entire flight from Bombay back to Singapore, after satay and lunch service in Business Class, gave a helping hand to Econ Class from ice-cream to clearing of cabin, 2 full carts on my own. i think i worked a tad too hard today. but of course, voluntarily. God says love with a pure heart and good conscience.

i think i've exerted too much positive and cheerful vibes on board that now i'm all squeezed dry from it. hungry yet no appetite. after considering for ages, i finally decided to tapao food from downstairs, not having anything in mind. i did actually whatsapp-ed SL and make him decide what's for my dinner/supper.

wow. a day with God's valuable message, good food, a celebration and a fun company :)

started off with church service as usual, the sermon preached by Pastor Tan had me God-struck. God has truly spoken just what i needed to hear. Praise the Lord.

did express manicure with Jesslyn at Bugis and later we headed on to Tomatillos for Mexican buffet at Mohamed Sultan's Road. quite a walk from the MRT. it was a discounted buffet voucher, only redeemable on Sundays 12-6pm. the whole dining experience wasn't as expected, open space similar to al-fresco concept, with the food being cooked and served to the table instead of the regular self-help buffet and there wasn't much variety to choose from either. yet, we enjoyed the outdoor dining cause it was windy, the food is served hot, tasted pretty good and the people there are a friendly bunch!

apart from the 3 mini curries (chickpea curry, cheese curry, butter chicken with naan and rice) these are the only Mexican dishes offered in the buffet. the chef cooks another portion of any of those on customer's request. the selection varies every now and then.

have been missing for couple of days. youngest Sis underwent appendicectomy out of the blue, and being the more kan-cheong me, i flew back to Penang immediately. i only received the news from Elaine close to 9pm last Saturday, while i was out after church service. called my Dad to check on sister's condition and letting him know i might be going home. by then she was already out from the OT. Dad went "aiya.. not necessary lar. nothing very serious and we can take care of her". but thinking of my very pampered youngest sis and her foreseen misery, i rushed back home hoping to purchase the next avail ticket back to Penang. thank God for AirAsia! last flight to Penang was 10.40pm, less than 50mins left to check-in (also to pack my belongings, book and cab to airport) and cause the departure was less than 24hrs at present, i can only purchase the ticket at the airport sales counter. i freaking panicked. but by God's grace, i managed to land into Penang before midnight. whee.

visited sister at Gleneagles Medical Hospital right after. Dad and auntie camped in the single bedded room together with sis. value for money aye? hehee. and guess where did i go after that? clubbing at Voodoo, UPR. swt. i swear that wasn't part of my plan! i had to tag along with Sam cause he's the one who picked me up from the airport. but i'll have to admit it was quite a stress reliever :)

spent the whole Sunday with Dad in the hospital room, with Starbucks for lunch AND dinner! after a whole lot of hassle i succeeded in getting couple more off days by giving away my MUNICH flight. hmph.. don't know when will i be rostered for another Munich flight again. anyway.. i spent my days in Penang accompanying sister and catching up with long lost friends. loves.

flew back to Singapore on Thursday, did Aussie flight, touched down here in Singapore hours ago and this was my dinner/supper

that says all. hmph. spent the entire day browsing through fashion blogs (my part time hobby), online shopping, eating junks, and rotting instead of catching up with accounting. yes, it felt relaxing yet unaccomplished. nevertheless, i did read up on finance on board yesterday. and did some research on a company i'm intending to invest, buying their IPO, on the smallest scale. small-EST.

putting that aside, i've got to start on a strict diet soon. soon. i've prolly mentioned it a zillion times now and zero time succeeded. and being in UAE doesn't help even a bit. the food here is either curry based or fried. even the vegetables are "masala-fied". a bowl of sashimi salad now would make me ecstatic. HAHA. persistence is the key to success. got to start eating healthily rather than junking. time to treat the inner body with little respect. just checked the room service menu, a salad is going to cost me 40ringgit. guess i'll stay on with my tomyam instant noodle and middle eastern cuisine for now.

got to stay focus on what i want and work it out. and slowly grow out of procrastinating. there're million reasons to break a habit, and only takes one to fall back into it.

maybe, maybe i should log down my progression here and see how well i did, or didn't. that's on healthy-eating. studies wise, let's just see how i score mid next year :)

my time in singapore for the past weeks has been a hectic one. i'm either busy attending lesson or cg meetings or church services or catching up with friends. not even a single retail therapy ever since my birthday, or even way before that. i guess the last was early september and that was in Penang. finally managed to score some ME time today before class. yays.

woke up at 1-ish pm, and left home at 2-ish. wanted to indulge in Sushi Tei (cause Elaine and Leslie were to have Sushi Zanmai in KL. hee) but they were closed due to company's dinner and dance event. siens. ended up having thai again, cause it's just next door and i was starving mad.

one of my favorite destination. am sure everyone heard and seen much of her that i don't need to emphasize more :)

spent the whole day outdoor. i love the sun! went snorkeling as early as 8 something in the morning, just off the shore. the corals and fishes were so colorful and pretty. visibility about 1.5 metres, the water is shallow and not forgetting clear and warm! up to a point whereby there's a sudden drop of seabed from about 10m to 40m deep, the water turns chilly. and guess what did i had a glimpse of around the drop? reef shark! not cute lil ones but an adult shark. wth i PANICKED and immediately fled as near to shore as possible. i could literally felt my heart pumping in my throat. watching Jaws in my younger years doesn't give me a good impression on sharks. hehee. anyway despite the scare, i made another visit at the drop cause my snorkel buddy was excited to wanting to encounter one himself. we were both intimidated yet thrilled to see one the same time. lols.

we had lunch break around 11-2pm with the rest of crew. after lunch few of us took a stroll around the resort, feeling the whistling breeze on our face and blending into the calm and serenity the island gives out. and of course, cam whored. me and my snorkel buddy went back snorkeling shortly after. both of us are suffering from sunburn on our backs now, the result of long hours of exposure under the sun without any sunblock. hee..

both flight into and out of Maldives were manageable. though we had (low possibility) terrorist threat out of Maldives. the airport tightened the security screening and we were told take be alert at all times. this line of job can be risky at times huh? but nevertheless, it's worth the experience of seeing the world and the people. and the colorful fishes in Maldives! :))

i feel like roaring at myself now. i just missed my flight from Narita to LA. transit also can miss flight. wth. i am now an officially proven and certified big bimbo. with the nature of my work, i still can mistaken the departure time as boarding time and got myself offloaded from the flight. the plane took off without me. sigh.

the ground staff arranged for my accommodation (self paid) but the best part was i don't even have VISA to enter the country. they assisted me until the custom point and i was all by myself after. thank God i managed to land myself in the hotel. been through hell, am all alone and still shaken till now. about to cry out loud soon.

started with Penang bridge jam that i was stuck in Penang, the hassle with my MC and company's policy that I had to delay my trip by a day, to the stupid gastric, *another confidential issue*, being drenched with orange juice by the passenger next to me and now missing my flight. pull hair. all these fcking jinxed event are still bearable, what i can't is the anger and disappointment i caused.

Melvyn, i honestly truly sincerely whole-heartedly genuinely earnestly am sorry for ditching you in LA for two days. please please please forgive me will ya? sigh.

today Sep the 14th, marked the day i had my worst gastric ever, since the very hour i woke up. pretty bad this time that i thought i almost black out while heading to the airport. had soupy breakfast and thought it will go away as usual, since i'm like kinda immune to it already. but it didn't. urgh.

had no appetite the entire day. slept the whole evening. had Starbucks hot choc with a piece of waffle for dinner while doing these.

this entire Hari Raya offs felt like Chinese New Year to me. i've been busy catching up with friends and visiting family. the presence of my uncle, aunties and cousins from KL and the glimpse of Grandma busy cooking every day do add on to the CNY feeling. without the red packet of course. heehee. and owh before i forget, let me (excitedly) introduce my super adorable newborn god-niece!

she's just FOUR months old, weighing at 7kg.

feels so syiokss to squeeze her. HAHA

that was in the afternoon before i decided to catch the plane the following day (today). thus, i managed to attend my buddy's house warming together with other kakis. i'm usually the not-so-tall among them but last night i felt like i've grown. thanks to my killer heels. HAHA

before i left home in the afternoon, i just realized i have yet to pay my school fees which was increased if the payment is made after 1st Sep. i was supposed to pay in Aug but it just slipped out of my mind. one word, self disappointment. additional avoidable cost. hmph. setting that aside, there's phone bill of hundredS dollar to pay and i will need a sum of money for my LA trip mid Sep. i felt rather broke can.

despite the fact that i'm running low on cash, i took a cab to town. HAHA. otw, i checked my standby status and couldn't stop smiling from there on. Paris. wth. not any shitty HongKong turn. or Manila turn. first time ever to be called up for a long flight $$ LOL and not only that, i'll be able to fly back to Penang after Paris to attend my class reunion. big smiles.

I've sowed my best, and now He is paying for my school fee! just in time when i needed it. God is faithful and He's always on time. keep the faith walking and believing!

chores that are still pending: changing bedsheets and clearing up my messy table and else lying around. i so need to stop buying anymore clothes and junks and instant noodles and all the other unnecessary stuffs. not because i'm broke, i have no more available space to store them. a good way to save up aye? heehee

monthly resolution: adapt the habit of sleeping early and waking up early (i know, close to impossible for an owl like me)

benefits: time spent constructively. running errands and catching up on studies.

the only disadvantage: heavy eyes and mentally shut off during overnight flight. bimbo stewardess. haha!

friendster. oh my..

couldn't remember what brought me to my friendster account earlier. i was flabbergasted! it has indeed improvised a lot! i still hate the green color.

but the one thing that impacted me was the photos and all the memories that captured together with it. my schooling days. friends. vacations. my long hair. and how skinny i used to be ages ago! that i certainly misses, up till today. heehee

as i browsed through all the (other) photos, again and again, i felt like one grown-up adult already. years passed in a blink of an eye, isn't it? from schooling + honeymoon days in a small state partly cushioned by Dad, to being all around the world working, living on my own in a new country, pursuing my degree and trying to sketch out my future plans. at times, i wish i have someone there to tell me how much i've matured over the years. yet, the ones who're closer to me now only seen the recent years of me and the ones i've spent my teens with are hard/can't even catch up with. and apart from that, since young i'm a self keeper. talking bout my personal life is bizarre to me. it makes my hair stand on the end. though my life story pretty much has dramatic plots to it. well anyway, i'm glad and grateful to be where i am today. to believe in what i believe. to be family with my beloved family. to be friends and buddies to the people around me. to own my wants. to see and experience what many couldn't. and to live.

every now and then i'll remind myself how much He has given me, and how i can bless those who needs. i am a people driven person. i can go the extra mile for people. thus explains how i (still) love my job. the Bible says Now the purpose of commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5). i may have been through the toughest time, but all the praise goes to Him for where i am today :))

True friends will build each other up emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Friends like to be together simply because it feels good. We receive strength, encouragement, and love. We talk, we cry, we listen. But at times we also have to say the difficult things our dearest friend needs to hear.
