shortie update from South Korea

SEOUL

Day 1

check in around 11am, slept from 12-6pm. went out grocery shopping, had dinner and back in the room before 12am.

Day 2

the hotel's electricity was cut off for an hour!! thought they were shooing me out but found out they were having maintenance. phew..

my solo adventure started about 2pm. took a train to Gyeongbokgung station and visited the famous palace and National Folk Museum.

took another train to Anguk station, roamed around in Bukchon, a small hanok (ancient roof) village

had my dinner lunch cum dinner there in a small neighborhood shop. they couldnt speak English and I couldnt speak any Korean and to make it worst there isn't any menu with pictures! so i've got to go OUTSIDE the shop and point at those pictures displayed by the window. paiseh. dinner was good tho :)

after dinner headed to Insadong, a walking street selling lotsa cultural and artsy-fartsy stuffs in conjuction with the Modern Art Festival. walking down the whole stretch of street were pretty amazing, looking at the humans walking pass by guessing their life story. aimless walk brings me to this underground shopping complex. bought quite a few stuff. heehee

headed back to the hotel to drop my barang-barangs ard 10 sumthing and took off again. this time just the vicinity of the hotel for my own mind-mapping. there're fried chicken + beer shops everywhere! so i decided to hop into one, Born to be Chicken.

while i was queuing for the toilet, a Korean man (on his way to the Gents) approached me and started speaking in Korean. i told him nicely I dont speak Korean, thank God he understood. he then continued asking me whether im American TT do i even look like one? out of courtesy I replied a handshake and he just kissed my hand and told me i'm beautiful, twice! O.O he must have been drunk. i quickly escaped into the toilet and brush off my sweat.

anyway I ordered 2 pcs of chicken and 1 pint of beer and spent an hour plus there, planning my itinerary for tomorrow.

reached the hotel about 12 something and took a loooong hot bubble bath, which almost causes me to black out. heehee

jacuzzi in e room. wheee.

it's alr 4.23am now. need to jump into the bed soon. btw, dun mind my engrish grammar and vocabs cause me head is still spinning from the hot bath and prolly e beer.
